Master Alexander (Caithnes & Companye - Armourers) and his apprentices will be giving demonstrations at the Dark Ages Schola. Their goal is to get the parts for a four panel helm roughed out and answer questions along the way. Everyone is welcome, especially those who are interested in learning the art of armour. The shop will be open all day.

The Arte of Maille making will also be demonstrated whenever the Master or his apprentices have grown weary of smashing things with a hammer and want to twist and join things with pliers. Sample links will be provided. Students interested in mail should bring a small pair of pliers and a set of needle nosed pliers.

Students should bring a note/sketch book to all classes and ear-plugs/hearing protection, safety goggles, leather work gloves, questions and a sense of humor to the afternoon classes.
